Daily Habits - Are They Expanding or Diminishing Your Life Experience and Business Success

Filed under: Success Guideline — admin at 1:27 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2008

“Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones.” Benjamin Franklin

“Up to 90 percent of our normal behavior is based on habits,” an excerpt from The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Les Hewitt. One-by-one daily habits generate a full life. Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do.” In the past, habits formed that served you in some waythe time you go to sleep, how you react in situations, how you communicate, what you eat, how you focus your time, etc. Because habits run on autopilot we forget they are a major influence in the results we experience. Are your daily habits serving you? When was the last time you checked? Here are 5 A’s to support you to move beyond limits and make a long-term positive impact one habit at a time.

Attention- First, pay attention to your daily actions. Are there any to improve, add, or eliminate? One positive, new, long term habit a month results in 12 rewarding habits in place by the end of a year, 60 after 5 years. Wow, imagine how your life might be different then! Secondly, pay attention to new possibilities.Take a look at an Ideas Bank of possible daily habits you may not have thought of at www.StartingNowCoaching.com

Adjust- Make a list of the habits to develop over the rest of the year. What habits do you want to add or eliminate? Instead of eliminating a bad habit you may add a good habit. For example, instead of choosing to stop snacking you may opt to drink more water. The water fills you and automatically reduces snacking. Consider habits with long term results. Then set your plan for each month. You may choose easier habits to incorporate in the beginning. The clearer your focus the better so 1 or 2 a month is sufficient. If you choose more, select one as your primary habit. Tip: Choose what you want, not what someone else wants for you.

Activate- Get in motion by knowing your motivation. What will you gain by incorporating this daily ritual? How will you be different? How will you feel different? What results may you experience long term? Review your motivation daily while instilling the habit.

Accountability- Choose a structure to keep your new habit in front of you daily. It may be helpful to schedule it at the same time daily, add it at the top of your “to do” list, or do it first thing in the morning. Tell the world what you are doing, find a friend to connect with weekly for support, or get a coach. You are welcome to pick up a complimentary Rewarding Daily Habits Chart for tracking purposes at www.StartingNowCoaching.com which includes your motivation and support structure at a glance.

Action- Make a commitment to daily action. Don’t just try it do it! When you miss a day because life gets in the way, don’t quit. You can do this.

“Motivation is what gets you started. Habits is what keeps you going,” according to Jim Rohn. Begin creating habits that lead to extraordinary life experiences one habit at a time Starting Now.

Success The Key to Silencing Negative Self Talk

Filed under: Success Guideline — admin at 1:23 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Do you ever lose track of what you set out to do or get distracted by negative intrusive thoughts that you need to continually push out of your mind?

Do you ever find yourself being seduced into drifting in to a negative mood or attitude about yourself, your life or others around you by that same negative self talk?

Do you find that your life is put on hold or that there are significant periods of time when you feel unproductive because that same negative self talk engages you in feelings of anger, helplessness, fear, hopelessness, despair, self doubt, inadequacy, indecisiveness, self pity etc.?

Most people whether they are aware of it or not, have gone down this road and many continue to do so. Quietening the mind in such a fast paced world seems to be becoming increasingly more difficult. Many have turned to yoga, meditation and similar practices to try and achieve some degree of inner quietude and peace.

In my view such modalities are technique that attempt to stem the flow of negative self talk rather than eliminate it altogether. Clear evidence of this is the fact that one must continue the practice i.e. spend tine at it, in order to accrue ongoing benefits.

Although the various practices yield benefits such as reduced stress, inner peace, well being etc. they in effect also take up your time. In other words it’s like replacing cigarettes with nicotine gum; in either case you still have the nicotine inside.

Is it possible to get to the root cause of negative self talk?
Is it possible to eliminate it altogether once and for all?

The answers to both these questions are YES!

Negative self talk is the result of unconsciously stored past events that go unresolved and that break into consciousness while you are trying to live your life in the present. This often happens when you are stressed or tired.

Normally the tendency is for an individual to suppress uncomfortable past memories into their unconscious mind i.e. make it unconscious, believing that by doing so they will feel better. Unfortunately it takes energy to do this. When you get tired or stressed your energy wanes and this draws on your overall energy resources.

This makes one vulnerable to having the unconsciously held memories/beliefs/emotions re- emerge into the conscious mind. This is felt and experienced as intrusive negative self talk. This then further undermines you and puts an added drain on your energy stores.

Another way of saying all of this is that by “pushing” negative events into the unconscious you are essentially keeping within your mental/emotional body material that is parasitic to your vital life energy and therefore toxic to you.

By employing meditation or other modalities to anchor yourself in a temporary state of inner peace what you are doing is simply restoring your energy resources so that you can once again hold the offending material at bay for a while longer.

It is however still present and you are still vulnerable to it!

Doesn’t it make more sense to eradicate it from within once and for all? Well of course but most individuals might think that this is not even possible. After all they might say: Isn’t this who I am? , Isn’t this part of my identity as an individual? Etc.

Well my answer to that is:

Not only is it possible it is imperative to completely release it if you want to fully experience who you really are!

Such a release can be achieved with a new modality called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP) that is administered over the telephone. It has the remarkable capacity to help you reclaim vast amounts of vital energy, restore inner peace, build self confidence, well being, and enhance longevity just to name a few.

The Trophy - Epitome Of Your Success

Filed under: Success Guideline — admin at 1:26 am on Monday, April 28, 2008

Success is one thing that people desires. It is also relative. The concept may vary from one person to another. However, no matter how you perceive success, one thing is for sure, it gives you relief, ecstasy and fulfillment. You will likely feel that after exerting much effort and dedication it really pays off.

Success breeds success. This can be true because indeed, it can be a great motivator. It is addictive. The moment you have tasted a piece of success, you will likely long for it and do something to gain more of it.

Success may come in different perspectives. Employment, education, sports, financial status, family life, spiritual life and the likes are some of its perspectives.

You can be a business magnate yet may be a failure when it comes to family life. You can be the president, lawyer, doctor, engineer or other established personality in the society however; you are physically sick and weak.

Success is not conclusive. There are aspects in life that you are not good at and there are some, where you excel.

Basically, success is an innate fulfillment and cannot be measured by human ways. However, it is a great pride to be honored with a trophy, certificate and other awards by virtue of your contributions, accomplishments and success.

Awards like certificates and trophies are now made more fashionable and flexible. Modern time has made accommodated fresh medium and materials.

Certificates are not limited to paper only. In fact, they can be printed on several materials like plastic and the likes.

Trophies, on one hand, have larger selections of material. They include the following:

1. Crystal Trophy. It uses 100% optical crystal, which is the finest among the crystals. Trophies like this have no lead content since the latter is pretty dangerous to health.

Crystal shines and sparkles when placed under affluent light. It exudes elegance and beauty.

In order to secure a crystal trophy, it is specially packed in an extraordinary designed box with foam. This is to avoid falls and breaks.

The most elegant design of crystal trophy is that of an award cup which are mostly awarded to sports winners.

2. Wooden Trophy. Another artsy material for trophies is wood. With it, you can carve, and shape. It is also one of the most durable materials for trophies. Wooden trophy is not susceptible to breaks and falls.

Longevity is the reason why it is now widely used.

3. Glass Trophy. High quality etched glass trophies are common to the corporate market.

The traditional of this trophy is that made of jade glass. You can easily tell one from another because this kind of glass trophy has a green tint from its edge.
Another type is the molten glass that is molded under precise temperatures. Tiny bubbles can be seen from it.

Finally, there is the Starfire clear glass trophy. It is free from lead and low in iron. However, its appearance may not be as clear as a crystal.

4. Acrylic Trophy. This kind of trophy is manufactured singly. Engraving can provide it with a permanent unique design. Usually, logos, icons and messages are engraved in the trophy to give it details that endure.

Truly, success is immeasurable at times. However, it feels good to be acknowledged and honored by your comrades, workmates, bosses, teachers, judges, and other important persons in your life.

Though trophies are not conclusive proof of success, however, they are big deal to every one.
